DuPont Tate & Lyle (Stand No. E76) offers Zemea propanediol, the world’s first 100% natural glycol alternative approved by Ecocert and certified by the Natural Products Association. With its skin-friendly performance, including no irritation, enhanced moisturization and excellent aesthetics, Zemea is rapidly being adopted by formulators around the world, according to DuPont Tate & Lyle. Derived from corn sugar fermentation, Zemea replaces petroleum-based glycols or glycerin in many natural personal care formulations. Environmental sustainability benefits include significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions and lower energy consumption in its production (based on LCA data).
